SYMPOSIUM

Discussing Ocean conservation in Portuguese

Last May 5, 2021 we celebrated the World Portuguese Language Day and the International Day for the Portuguese Language and the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) with the Symposium “Discussing Ocean conservation in Portuguese”.

The goal of this Symposium was to promote knowledge exchange and to raise awareness about the various ongoing initiatives regarding ocean conservation throughout countries that share our common language. We hosted speakers from 7 countries: Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and it is with great pleasure that we thank our speakers. Without them this Symposium would not have been possible. May this Symposium be a starting point for future events and collaborations, always united by the ocean.

The Symposium is available on AIMM's Youtube channel.

We would also like to thank our partner, Ocean Hub Portugal, and all the participants who shared part of their day with us, on this trip in Portuguese through several countries.
